This morning, I woke up and it sounded like someone yelled my name, like someone was trying to wake me up. So I got up and looked around, not worrying about putting on pants, cause I slept in my shirt and some boxers. Everyone seemed to be asleep, and I sleep too far from everyone else's room, cause I sleep on the couch here, so no-one could scurry back to their room without making a noise that I could hear. My sneaking around the house caused for plenty of noise. So I go lay back down for an hour or so.

After I wake up again, I go to put on my pants cause I know other people will be up now, probably in the dining room. So I have them on and it feels like someone is moving up my pants leg, starting at the knee, so I quickly jolt the pants off, and there's a scorpion there, sitting next to an area on my skin where I assume he stung me, or maybe bit me, not sure. I jump out of the rest of my pants, and I see him climb into the folds. I'm staying in Canyon Lake right now, and its really dry, so I assume he's in the house for some water. I geta cup, put it outside, and try to shake him out of my pants.

Of coarse, being a scorpion, he held a grudge for me getting into his pants. So he comes after me instead of getting outside, and nomatter where I jump to, he heads in that direction. My leg still stung from his first strike, so in fear, I grab my shoe and hit him once. He still crawls tward me at the upmost paste, I swing again. He's cringing on the floor, and merely in reflex I swing once more, he's dead.

I dont like killing things, and I still feel terrible for doing that, I mean, he would have just stung me then been on his way. Either way, its the first scorpion I've ever really seen, so I decide to put him in a plastic body bag known as Ziplock. I've got him right now, but only to learn to draw him. I feel monsterous carrying around a corpse of something I've killed.

So the sting in my leg felt like someone had stabbed me with a pen, then rubbed a liquidy salt into the bleeding wound. When I was avoiding my foe, the movement caused a worse rubbing pain, as if alcohol was being poored into it. Then when I was walking in the aftermath, standing still I couldn't feel a thing, only when I was walking could I feel the poison burning me. Eventually the pan stopped alltogether, and now the rash is disapearing. Oh, gone now! Brian and Pipa start telling me stories of their scorpion enconters throughout the years. Brian says its one of the worst things he'd ever felt, being stung by a scorpion's tail. Pipa say's the only time he's been stung was by one that he stepped on, and it didn't like being stepped on too much.

Brian says I must have an natural immunity to their poison or something, which wouldnt suprise me, bee stings dont hurt me too much and I'm suppose to be allergic to cats and I'm always around them. However I think the scorpion might have only stabbed me with his pinchers rather than swipped me with his tail.

Now I'm wondering why scorpions only travel in packs of one, because of interesting dialogue with the rest of my family here, and am going to read up on that, hope you guys enjoyed this journal, its the first one I've written in a while, glad something interesting finally happened. LAte.
